Structured Notes

Structured Notes offer you the potential to earn higher returns than a Brunei dollar or foreign currency time deposit, through packaging a deposit and an investment (usually in the form of an option) together. The returns from structured notes are typically dependent on the performance of an underlying financial instrument in the form of one of the following:

• Market indices - e.g., S & P 500 Index, STI Index, Nikkei 225 Index, etc.
• Equities - usually a basket of equities
• Interest rates
• Fixed income
• Foreign exchange / currency

Structured notes are offered on a close-ended basis where they are made available for a limited period only and are typically structured to repay your principal upon maturity.
