Enhancements on Business Internet Banking

We are pleased to inform you that from 21 Apr 2008, Business Internet Banking (BIB) will introduce new features, including :

  • AutoPay for bulk transfer or salary payments
  • Two types of delegates (Primary User + Secondary User) provide you more flexibility in user profile setup
  • Sole/Dual administration control enables you to choose the suitable way to control your Internet Banking
  • Maximum Daily Company Transaction Limit sets a ceiling to the amount you could transfer on Internet Banking.
  • Authorisation Matrix enables setting up of transactions limits for each account.
  • SMS alert setup for Primary User.
  • View Activity Log

With this new web site, please note that there are minor revisions to the Business Internet Banking Terms and Conditions and the key amendment to the current set of Terms and Conditions is to update the change in hosting facility.

You will be required to accept these Terms and Conditions when you logon for the first time from 1 April 2008 before you can proceed with your Internet banking activities.

No, you can access the new Business Internet Banking web site the way you normally do via www.hsbc.com.bn

Do I need to change my password and security device for the new web site?
No, you can use your existing password and security device. However, you will need to go through a one-off online migration process to re-register you security device.

Do I need to pay to enjoy the upgraded services?
No extra charges will be levied for the usage of new website, except for ‘autoPay’ service.

A new Business Internet Banking User Guide will be made available for download on our web site by 21 April 2008.

How do existing users subscript to new features like autoPay, SMS alert, Primary User and setup maximum daily company transaction limit ?
To enable the new services, your company will need to:

  • Read carefully the revised “Business Internet Banking” Terms and Conditions.
  • Submit a completed Business Internet Banking Amendment form to your nearest HSBC branch.
